Rail–Road Shunting Vehicles
Road-rail shunting vehicles offer high operational flexibility under different site conditions thanks to their dual-mode capability to operate both on rail and on road. They are an ideal solution for fast, practical, and efficient shunting operations, especially in confined areas, maintenance sites, workshops, depots, and facilities with limited rail access.
RRBE 100
Battery-Powered Shunting Vehicle
The electric propulsion system delivers environmentally friendly, low-emission performance while maintaining high efficiency. With its compact design and high maneuverability, it is an ideal choice for confined spaces and sites with limited rail access.
RRBE 2600
Battery-Powered / Diesel / Electric Road-Rail Shunting Vehicle
The RRBE 2600 Battery-Powered / Diesel / Electric Road-Rail Shunting Vehicle is a dual-mode and versatile solution capable of operating both on rail and on road.
Friction Management Support Systems
Railway vehicles consume sand to eliminate weak friction between the wheel and rail while operating. This lost sand must be refilled daily or weekly. Manually loading sand causes high labor hours and costs for railway vehicle operators. This workload directs operating companies to Sand Filling Systems (KDA) to refill lost sand conveniently, safely, and efficiently.
Friction Management
Advanced friction management systems effectively address the critical challenges of wheel-rail interaction, resulting in significant improvements in drive comfort and safety.
Kaaf offers two essential products to manage friction: the Flange Lubrication System and the Sanding System. The Flange Lubrication System minimizes friction on flanges and reduces wear on wheel and rail, extending wheel and rail life while improving efficiency. The sanding system improves the friction coefficient between the wheel and the rail. It reduces the impact of slippery railhead conditions by pouring sand between the wheel and the rail. Both systems have variations for all sorts of railway vehicles.
Shunting Locomotives
Shunting locomotives are powerful and reliable vehicles developed for heavy-duty operations requiring high tractive effort in industrial facilities and railway yards. Available in different traction configurations, these solutions play a key role in modern railway logistics and site operations by enabling the safe, stable, and efficient movement of heavy loads.
RBE 2500
Battery-Powered / Electric Shunting Locomotive
The RBE 2500 Battery-Powered / Electric Shunting Locomotive is designed to provide high efficiency and versatile operation for industrial facilities and railway operations.
RDE 5000
Diesel / Electric Shunting Locomotive
The RDE 5000 Electric Shunting Locomotive is designed to provide high efficiency and versatility in industrial facilities and railway yards.
Bogie Support Systems
Bogie technologies encompass a comprehensive range of products engineered for stability, durability, and safety. Kaaf offers three core components: bogies, axleboxes, and resilient wheels.
Dummy Bogie
The Dummy Bogie is an auxiliary component designed for rail systems to facilitate the transportation of equipment or car bodies before they are equipped with bogies.
Auxiliary car Dolly
rolley/Aliberaber offers portable and fast solutions for the wheel/axle that is immobilized/locked on the rail in rolling stock.
Above-Floor Wheel Press
Pre-compressed rubbers can be mounted to resilient wheels only with specially designed machines used for the assembly and disassembly of rubbers between the wheel center and tyre.
Bogie Test Press
Bogie Test Press have a great impact on the safety, comfort, maintenance cost, and similar parameters of rail system vehicles.
Under-Floor Resilient Wheel Press
Under-Floor Wheel Press ensures precise assembly of pre-compressed rubbers to wheels. Customizable for types of wheels, with up to 150 tons capacity.
Bogie Technologies
Bogie technologies encompass a comprehensive range of products engineered for stability, durability, and safety. Kaaf offers three core components: bogies, axleboxes, and resilient wheels. The bogie provides the structural foundation, ensuring strength and balance under varying loads and velocities.
The axlebox is designed for precise alignment and shock absorption, enhancing reliability against dynamic forces. Resilient wheel reduces vibration and noise, making a more comfortable and efficient ride. Together, these components form a robust solution that meets the challenging demands of modern railway systems.
Axlebox
The axleboxes are the fittings between the rotating wheelset and the semi-static bogie chassis.
BO’54 Resilient Wheel
Resilient wheels are used effectively to enhance navigational comfort and reduce maintenance costs for rolling stocks.
Y32 Bogie
The Y32 bogie is widely recognized as a standard passenger car bogie in rail systems.
Control Technologies
Driving control systems are designed to enhance safety for cruising and ergonomics for operators. Kaaf offers three core components for driving control: Master Controller, Driver Footrest, and Foot Pedal. The master controller allows precise control of the train's movement, acceleration, and braking.
The driver moves or stops the vehicle with this device. The Driver Footrest is designed for operator comfort during cruise, promoting better posture and reduced fatigue. The Foot Pedal provides responsive and precise control that can be customized according to the function requested, such as deadman, external horn, braking, etc.
Master Controller
The master controller allows precise control of the train's movement, acceleration, and braking.
Driver Foot Pedal
The Foot Pedal is a rugged switching device for footing applications.
SAP
Driver Footrest
Driver footrest, it provides an ergonomic sitting opportunity for drivers, minimizing the driving fatigue coefficient.
